I love this song! At my daughter’s Christmas play this year, they finished by singing a song by Karen Drucker called “You Are the Face of God” and the children’s minister invited the audience to come across the stage and see the new Christ child, born on this day. While the children sang the song over and over, the adults walked across the stage, looked in the manger, and saw their own reflections in a large mirror. It was really beautiful watching the smiles of recognition, and I love this unusual take on the Christmas story. Especially instead of a plastic baby doll, like we used to have in my childhood nativity plays!
