Election results, someone in their car, a seedling and loose hoses: TUESDAY H WEEK

Our Tuesday “Yellow Day” Class started off H week with a Golden Letter friend, Heath! He held onto his golden letter all day, knowing exactly where it was at all times. There was play inside and out, time with mama horse, painting turkey feathers for next week’s project, hole punchers, book reading, alphabet project making, drawing hair on heads, mixing the playdough to make brown and so much more!

Here are five questions to find out more about things that happened today…

Which book did you vote for today?

What did you do in the puzzle corner today?

What what is happening with the dirt pumpkin?

Who was in their car when we went out to the playground today?

How did you use a hose on the playground today?

1. Which book did you vote for today?

In honor of Election Day, we voted on which book would be read aloud today. At Circle Time we had the election results: Richard Scary’s Busy, Busy Town had twice the votes. Fear not, A Ride on Mother’s Back will be read on Thursday. While we would have definitely honored any disappointment or complaints, there happened to be none today. It was a very smooth election experience.

Don’t forget the fun of getting your “I Voted Today” sticker!

2.What did you do in the puzzle corner today?

At one point or another, I saw every child spend time in the Puzzle Corner, though I didn’t get photos of them all. There were magnet dress up dolls, Chutes and Ladders, dice, alphabet dinosaurs, magnet tiles, rainbow arches, jigsaw puzzles, sequencing cards, a number balance and I’m confident there was more than I even saw.

3.What what is happening with the dirt pumpkin?

The seedling sprouted yesterday and is growing today! Bravo to the friends who are following our plan: observing and telling about their findings.

4. Who was in their car when we went out to the playground today?

Pastor Shana ! It’s pretty sweet and amazing to watch the connection these children have with Pastor Shana…”I have something to tell you!”

5. How did you use a hose on the playground today?

Following the example from a friend yesterday, some friends used it to haul the tires back to the top of the hill. Other friends use them as horns, fire, hoses, and pointers. What a fun addition to our playground! There were even hoses accompanying some friends during their trips around the pavilion.
