Our Wednesday “Green Day” Class had more fun play honoring December with puzzles, jingle bells and red things. Everyone also got to take home a book today. They were gifts from a church friend…so special!

Here are five questions to learn more about today…
What did we do in our journals today?
What K things did we have a snack today?
How many books did we have at Story Time today?
How can you find out if we’re going outside to play?
What do we do if someone gets hurt?
1. What did we do in our journals today?
Painted with pretend ketchup!

Before this we had a conversation about who likes ketchup and who doesn’t (including our siblings!).

2. What K things did we have a snack today?

Malcolm brought kiwi kebabs, Kix cereal and Kind kid bars. Thank you, Malcolm!

We also got the real ketchup from Circle Time to taste…then got pretzels to dip into ketchup!

3. How many books did we have at Story Time today?
Two!

We compared the illustrations to each other. It was fun to find similarities even though the strawberry books takes place in summer, the Christmas book takes place in winter.

4. How can you find out if we’re going outside to play?
Check the schedule board!

These children are figuring this out! And yes! We DID go outside today!

5. What do we do if someone gets hurt?
We pause. We get still and quieter until we find out what is next.
( We practiced this today when two friends bumped during our snake game…we paused the game and stood around quietly while Ms Kristin held the crying friend. )
