Our Thursday “Blue Day” Class had a busy day with more king play, more Christmas tree decorating, more red bird making, more Christmas book reading and more play together. The oven from the Family Corner moved to the Big Table so we could make pretend Christmas cookies too. The ladder climbing Santa once again mesmerized children while we gathered to go outside.

Here are five questions to learn more about today…
Is it true that you get to keep a book forever?
Where did we have story time today?
Did we all paint in our journals at the same time?
What K things that we have for snack today?
Why did we make a spitting sound over and over?
1. Is it true that you get to keep a book forever?

Yes! A church friend donated enough new books that every preschooler gets to keep one forever. Today when we were done cleaning up, we sat in our cubbies with our new books.

2. Where did we have story time today?
In the middle of the playground!

After playing in the wind, we looked at both books about the mouse and the big hungry bear. The most surprising discovery was where the mouse kept his disguise in the winter Christmas book.

3. Did we all paint in our journals at the same time?

No. There were only six red paint sticks so we took turns. We counted to 20 to match the 20 ounce ketchup container and covered as much of the paper as we could with the pretend ketchup.

4. What K things that we have for snack today?

Heath brought us Krispy Kreme doughnuts, Kraft string cheese and Kroger kettle corn! We also had Kix cereal and oranges. The snack store was very busy today. Thank you, Heath!

FUN FACT: We also tasted the ketchup from Circle Time. Did you know that if you dip your doughnut in ketchup, it tastes like chicken nuggets?
5. Why did we make a spitting sound over and over?
To match the sound that the ketchup bottle made! Ms Kristin thought we’d be able to smell the ketchup from the bottle, but every time she squeezed the bottle it squirted a little ketchup-not just air! Here is a movie from Circle Time to show you:
