Our Monday “Red Day” Class welcomed L Week with a Golden Letter friend! Lane was our line leader and we thanked him for all of his help today. We also made a present for our grown ups…check your backpack for a little red bag. We continued on with a lot of Family Corner play, red things and had the red swing too!

The classroom was in a slightly different arrangement today.…read on to find out why:

What is the new thing that was in the middle of the classroom today?
What did Ms Kristin do with a baby doll at Circle Time today?
What stuck on the top of the letter L today?
What was the pretend melted snow at snack time today?
How could you pick up the jingle bells today?
1. What is the new thing that was in the middle of the classroom today?
Lego land!

We had 100s of Legos for play and thanks to a preschool mama passing on information from a former preschooler, we found out that Legos were invented in 1949 and that Lego is the most recorded word. That makes sense considering every Lego brick has the word Lego on it many times.

2. What did Ms Kristin do with a baby doll at Circle Time today?
She showed her how to play with a baby, how to burp a baby and how to wrap a baby up for sleeping.

Then we looked at the surprise present for our families and compared ourselves to the baby. (It will make sense when you see the present)

3. What stuck on the top of the letter L today?
A light bulb!

We will be talking more about light and dark this week.

4. What was the pretend melted snow at snack time today?
Ranch dip! Someone remembered this from a couple of weeks ago.

With it we had pretzels, applesauce and Ms Eliza and Auden both brought us sweet treats they made! Lest you think there was nothing to dip in ranch, we saw everything dipped in ranch.

5. How could you pick up the jingle bells today?
With magnet wands!

We have bells and magnet wands in the Tub Table, then we have more magnet wands and more jingle bells that we throw around the playground.

Grandpa Kelven threw all the jingle bells at once…very exciting!
