Frog tongues, monochrome rainbows, teacher Dave, R yoga sequence, and not stealing cards: WEDNESDAY R WEEK

Once upon a time there was a preschool class who read a book about gymnastics. The teacher was called Dave. Ms Kristin and the class practiced and practiced how to act out the last page of the book.

Read on to find out what that last page was about and more!

What color frog tongue did you choose?

There were many choices because Ms Kristin bought a box of 100 blowers to make a party favor for the children in honor of Leap Year (notice I am being very clear that this isn’t a preschool art project! ). These are great fun and promote big inhales and long exhales which can be quite regulating and calming (perhaps balancing out the intensity of the sound!).

At the end of the day, what did we pretend to be flying away?

Birds! We matched the last page of our book today!

What color or colors did you use in your journal?

All the children had their own new box of markers. They could use any color or colors they wanted on their “rainbow” page.

Can you make your body like a ramp?

We’ve got an R Week yoga sequence on the red rug this week!

We also sent our Show and Tell things and toys from the room down a ramp!

What animal was on your snack card?

Owen brought fruit rolls that had animal cards in each package. They are so special looking that we want to make sure your know they were not stolen from a preschool game. We also had rainbow Goldfish and Reeses peanut butter cups. Thank you, Owen! Ms Kristin brought some extra red tomatoes from home which some friends thought were Babybell cheese like last week!

Thank you, Snack Helper Line Leader!
