Once upon a time there was a jar of clear water and 13 children looking at it. Then some yellow liquid paint went in and all the water turned yellow! Then one drop of liquid blue paint went in. The blue drop started to move and sink. The children left the jar to go wash their hands and eat snack. When they came back later, something happened to water!
Read on to learn about .the jar of water, how we got our rainbow pieces, a yummy Y snack, sliding inside and the new color of the month.
What happened to the jar of water?

It turned green! No one even had to mix it or stir it.

This was the perfect activity to do with our book about little blue and little yellow.

How did you get your rainbow pieces?

Ms Kristin had the paper strips in buckets hanging from the ceiling. They could get the colors they wanted in any way they wanted: crawling under, having a friend swing them the bucket, climbing on the table, using a scooter to get under, etc. Bonus: inevitably they looked up to see how the buckets were suspended.

What if there hadn’t been yeast in the buns?
They would be like crackers!

Thank you, Heath, for Yeast buns, Yellow bananas with peanut butter and Yogurt. Some friends put the peanut butter on their buns and some put yogurt on their buns!

Where did Ms Kristin put the slide?

On the big steps! After clearing our snack spots and getting shoes on, children could come take turns on the slide.
We usually have a lot of energy after snack time and this helped get it out!
What is the new color of the month?

Blue! This meant blue play dough, blue paint, blue water and blue collage supplies.

Grandma Bonnie and Ms Kristin’s friend visited today. Claudia is a grandma in real life and was so helpful.
