On this very last day of the 2024-2025 school year we used up the paint sticks on our own paintings and on the cardboard house, we played with new puzzles and fishing poles, we pushed each other on the swing. In the morning class we had summer birthday cupcakes and in the afternoon we had a popcorn popsicle party. The mulberries are still ripe for picking and eating, the plastic frogs are in the warm soapy water outside. We cleaned the room so much it looked like preschool hadn’t happened today. Thank you, dear families for allowing us to spend time with your children…we have seen tremendous growth in each child and it is so rewarding. Today everyone took home their School Box full of things they’ve used all year: their journals, their snack cups, cubby photos, school box items and a big bubble wand to keep breathing through the summer. We’ve got 20 ways to say goodbye and we can do them all.

We spent our last Tuesday playing, reading books, meeting newborn babies, having picnics in the wind, lining up the Alphabet Friends, using our muscles, painting rainbows, playing with plastic frogs in soapy water, pushing each other on the swing, finding that our mulberry tree ripened over the weekend and tender goodbyes. On each child’s last day they’ll take home their School Box of things they’ve used all year: their journals, their snack cups, cubby photos, school box items and a big bubble wand (just like the teachers have) to keep breathing through the summer. We’ve got 20 ways to say goodbye and we can do them all. Thank you, dear families, for entrusting your children with us. It is an honor we take seriously.

The last days of preschool intentionally feel a lot like a regular day: gluing, cutting, painting and drawing, playing our favorite games, reading favorite books, getting out our favorite puzzles and ending the day with water and mud play!

We’ll spend our last days of preschool finishing up our journals, using all the leftover collage bits for a group project, playing our favorite games, reading favorite books, getting out our favorite puzzles, taking pictures on the black couch and ending the day with water and mud play!
Jumping Land made a spontaneous return at the Circle Time rug. Ms Kristin read some favorite nursery rhymes that a lot of parents and grandparents likely know too. Today we celebrated a friend’s birthday in the morning and had popsicles from Grandma Mona in the afternoon. We sent our watermelon snack rinds home with some friends who have chickens…they enjoyed it! Next Wednesday is our last day of school!
