one time at preschool a preschooler told me I wouldn’t be able to add the last cardboard tube to the tower because it would hit the ceiling. take a close look. oh yeah!?!?
good times.
d is for dirt designs
d is for dinosaur and dirt play dough
the paper that was covering the table during last week’s butterfly and caterpillar printing had plenty of room left for more paint.
so I drew a dinosaur shape and we added more paint.
we also had our plastic dinosaurs in the play dough…or next to the play dough…or eating play dough food…or pooping play dough poop…or leaving tracks.
I made the “dirt” play dough by replacing some of the flour with cocoa and black pepper. it worked great (until water got in the play dough tub). :)
b is for blankets
s is for smoke detector
well, I don’t usually test our smoke detectors during preschool hours…especially during the first weeks of school…because they are really loud. but if someone brings candles with snack and we put one in each clementine and then light them one at a time and let each blow it out….
then the smoke detector will go off….more than once!! oooo, brave children! we did it!!
(and yes, this was also an opportunity for a crash course in fire safety…matches, lighters, candles, crawl low under smoke, 911, never hide, stop drop and roll….we covered it!)
