this activity was not in my lesson plans.  i warned my new teacher friend, ms carol, to get used to this.

i pulled the red, yellow and green inch blocks for sorting (apple colors for a week).  then i remembered that since we were at church, there are several mini tongs and colored cups (thank you, mona and george!).

the concentration was incredible.

look at the cooperation.

a new twist to the experience was assigning each child a color.  look at those busy hands.

and for the record, this was a little tricky!
