Wild waves, an elephant sitting on our heads, wooden puzzles, eating worms and hiding from the wind: THURSDAY W WEEK

Once upon a time there was a sea that was very calm. But then a big wind came and the waves got big and wild! What did the people on the boat do? What did the fish do?

Read on to learn about the wild waves, an elephant sitting on our heads, wooden puzzles, eating worms and hiding from the wind.

What did the boat and fish do in the waves?

We decided the boat would take down the sail and the people would hold on and wait it out. The fish would swim deeper down to be under the waves.

After acting it out with our blue scarves, we drew wild water waves in our journals.

What color was the elephant that sat on our heads?

Red! That was one of the reasons we knew it wasn’t a real elephant.

By singing the Raffi song, “Willaby Wollaby” we could figure out whose turn was coming next in our song game.

Could we sit in the Cozy House at Circle Time?

No. We sat next to it and around it, but not in it. Thank you, friends, for respecting this creation!

What kind of worms did you eat today?

Gummy candy worms! Thank you Golden Letter friend, Wilmer, for a wonderful W snack of wildberry muffins, white cheddar popcorn and the gummy worms! We also had our names on the cups again and a lot of helpers to set the table.

We also had a snack time conversation about how we feel about big wild waves. Here are the results:

Was it windy today?

YES! We could hear it from inside and we could feel it when we went outside to go home. We found some hiding spots from the wind behind bushes and the building.

Enjoy more video and photos of our day!

Our W puzzles were on the big table today. There were wheels, windows, watermelons, whales, walruses and the color white.

Happy Thursday, friends! May you feel held and loved today.
