May Day baskets, the new color of the month, our Y joke, eating flowers and super tall grasses: WEDNESDAY Y WEEK

Once upon a time there was a basket of flowers on Ms Kristin’s office door handle. There was no name on it, no words on it. When she picked it up, none of the flowers even fell out. How were they sticking in there?

Read on to learn about the May Day baskets, the new color of the month, our Y joke, eating flowers and our super tall grasses.

What held the flowers in the May Day baskets?

A ball of purple play dough!

Keep your eyes out at home, families, you too might find a May Day surprise hanging around.

What color of play dough do we have today?

Blue!

We have several shades of blue, which reminded us of our W water projects.

Our Tiny Things changed as well…welcome back, blue things!

What is the letter of the week?

This video is all you need:

What was special about our snack today?

They were May Day baskets with cookie flowers! Thank you, Walter and Annie!

Some friends emptied their basket and then filled them with water to drink. We get a lot of practice with pouring, filling and emptying during snack time.

Where is the super tall grass at our preschool?

Around the hay bales!

We’re pretty sure some of it is actually wheat! Whenever we find tall grass or dandelions, we call it our jungle spot and we love it. We also love seeing rabbits…

Enjoy more video and photos of our day!

Ms Eliza was back today and helped get a lot of alphabet projects done.

The Yellow ducks are here for the week and got a lot of play time!

Welcome to May, everyone!
