f is for cinco de mayo flags

okay, so this is a project i have done with preschoolers in the past using tissue paper.  we fold it several times and make simple cuts like we would for snowflakes.  i had what i thought was a brilliant idea to use plastic table cloths (this way the flags could be used outside and rain wouldn’t ruin them).

i made a bunch for a friend the night before and determined that it was a great project.  i taped or hot glued them together.

um no.  not for preschoolers.  the teachers had to take over and cut every single one.  the plastic slipped.  their scissors weren’t as good as mine at home.  ugh.  a frustrating experience that we quickly rushed to finish up for them and move on.  oh well.
