this is my version of the preschool field trip survival kit…all tucked in a basic black bucket.
bandaids
napkins
notepad
sharpie
masking tape
name tags
hand sanitizer (aka “hanitizer”)
wipes
snacks
kleenexes
paper cups
camera
wallet
sunglasses
phone
…and by the end of the field trip you’ll have added things like american flags, lost hair bows, used kleenexes and wilted bits of grass “flowers.”
…and if you leave this bucket in the lobby of the police station, they will kindly put it behind the desk until you’re done with your tour.
what else, what else could go in the survival kit?
UPDATED IDEAS:
from Barbara:
ziplock bags (in case someone gets sick)
extra sets of clothes
I try to remember to bring along emergency contact numbers for the kids in case I need to be in touch with a parent. And chocolate (for me, in case the field trip goes horribly wrong and I need sugar : )

I take a large ziploc bag. It’s nice to have in case a child gets sick. I also take one extra set of boy’s clothes and one of girl’s clothes, just in case.
