well, we said it was w for wading in the water since it was w week.

there is a beautiful trail with a creek on the other end of town.

the weather cooperated for two of the three scheduled field trip days.  we have one more trip to take on the next warm and sunny day.

these were mostly for foot protection (there is plenty of broken glass) since they’d fill up pretty quickly. : )

the kids’ expressions are so wonderful.  what i am sad about is that my camera battery died on thursday morning.  trust me, their expressions were fabulous too (especially the one little girl that i thought was nervous and it turns out she reported she was bored.  so bored she couldn’t fall asleep that night.  oops.).  waiting for things to get started is understandably boring…these kids will be pros.
