c is for candyland

turn taking is tricky.  especially when the board moves and then the people fall.  especially when it’s hard to remember who goes next.  especially when the pile of cards keeps falling down.  especially when arms aren’t long enough to reach the pile of cards.

c is for campfire (valentine’s style)

when we had 3 bags of marshmallows come to preschool, we made time for a campfire to “roast” them.

valentine goodness

using our battery tea light candles, some smooth dowels (thank you otis) and a red scarf, we had a delightful campfire.

i am grateful that no one got hurt with the skewers and i hope there aren’t too many cavities.

valentine goodness

i plan to keep the tea lights, dowel rods and scarf as a kit for children to use.  i think it would make a great gift for a young child too!

p is for play dough cookies

i made mint play dough for christmas week and pulled the family corner stove close to the table.

such a great opportunity for “kitchen language:” turn the oven to 5 degrees, cook them for 3 hours, add more flour, find your oven mitten, my tray is full, get off the stove-it’s on!

mmmm.
