the preschool room is one place where it can be okay to use as many rolls of tape as you need to block a doorway. but this is only okay if the other doorway is left open…imagine the negotiations!

m is for magnet
magnets to hunt for things hidden in our recycled rice (outdated so it is safe to play in, but not safe to eat) is quite the dig. and since everyone is beyond the everything-in-the-mouth phase, we could use these metal rimmed bingo chips. r is for recylced rotton rice, too : )
s is for sewing
we practiced our sewing skills with toothpicks taped to yarn then poked through old styrofoam trays. i like to think there was fruit on the trays, though i think it was probably raw meat. we moved on to real embrodiery floss, mini hoops and big needles. e is for embrodiery and y is for yarn,Continue reading “s is for sewing”
p is for pet day
preschoolers were invited to bring a pet…alive or not, real or pretend…to preschool. we had some real live golden fur visit us…meet josie the dog and goldie the hamster. “what we don’t know is why we can’t pee in our bedrooms.” d is for dog and h is for hamster, too : )
c is for cash register
oh, the thrill of finding a REAL cash register for $5 at the thrift shop. bring on the construction paper money and scrunched foil coins…the cut up yogurt container lid credit cards and deposit slip checks. oh yeah. m is for money and s is for store, too : )
