this was mother’s day 2007’s project. we had non-mamas come in to help preschoolers by using hot glue guns (a pin back was added to the pre-cut foam flower shape). preschoolers placed items where they wanted them and the grownups glued them in place. with encouragement to add as much as they liked in “collage”Continue reading “m is for mother’s day”

m is for magnet
magnets to hunt for things hidden in our recycled rice (outdated so it is safe to play in, but not safe to eat) is quite the dig. and since everyone is beyond the everything-in-the-mouth phase, we could use these metal rimmed bingo chips. r is for recylced rotton rice, too : )
c is for cash register
oh, the thrill of finding a REAL cash register for $5 at the thrift shop. bring on the construction paper money and scrunched foil coins…the cut up yogurt container lid credit cards and deposit slip checks. oh yeah. m is for money and s is for store, too : )
v is for valentine
we send home supplies for each preschooler to make ONE valentine…then we have a school exchange. when they bring back their valentines, they put them in this box…with a mirror surprise inside. b is for box and m is for mirror, too : )

rich indeed. we had signs to carry investigating to do songs to learn (thank you jen and abby!) dreams to tell messages to share what a blur of memories we all hold k is for king, too. : )
