v is for valentine station

h is for hearts (in the block corner)
i set out a stack of wooden thrifted hearts. i imagined them being taken to the housekeeping corner as “cookies.” they were. i didn’t imagine them being taken to the block corner to be used so intentionally. awesome.
p is for pink car
we almost never have “regular” cars in the classroom. but in honor of pink week, i scrounged the thrift shop and my kids offered their own pink cars. again, the yarn weaving is used for something i never thought it would be used for. here are two of the stash.
p is for painted heart
i drilled holes in thrifted wooden hearts then set them out with watercolor paints. each heart had a name on it so first the preschoolers worked on name recognition (which they are very good at by now!). after the heart was painted, we rubbed on regular school glue and sprinkled glitter. once dry we addedContinue reading “p is for painted heart”
